Acclaim Lighting, a leader in innovative and advanced lighting technology, seeks a motivated and dynamic person to join our Support team as a Technical Support Specialist focused on LED lighting hardware.
This role requires on-site attendance and is located in Commerce, California. Flexible working hours are available.
Purpose of the role
The primary job function is providing exceptional customer support and addressing technical inquiries efficiently and effectively by providing needed assistance, information, troubleshooting, and solutions.
This role requires technical support, deep problem-solving, and complex troubleshooting for various commercial LED lighting products. These products include floodlights, linear fixtures, flexible low-voltage systems, computer-based control solutions such as Pharos, networking interfaces, and more.
Key responsibilities include
- Own each customer support interaction via email, phone, or in person through to resolution.
- Issue return authorizations for products
- Own and manage customer support channels for commercial lighting in a way that supports the customer's needs.
- Ensure customers' technical challenges are resolved promptly.
- Build trust, so customers recommend and use Acclaim Lighting for future projects and specifications.
- Document & track support cases
- Research technical or application support, including setup, connection, and testing of devices and software.
- Provide accurate information to end users and representatives
- Populate databases on technical support issues, applications questions, FAQs
- Perform other duties and participate in projects
- Occasional travel may be required

Ideal Qualifications
- Knowledge of Commercial LED lighting
- LED systems
- High and low voltage power systems
- Lighting control systems
- Networking experience
- Pharos controls and DMX over IP protocols
- Demonstrated ability to increase and maintain technical knowledge of lighting products and related third-party products through self-study and other skill development activities
- Demonstrated ability to investigate issues through to root cause
- Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
- Experience with customer relationship management system
- Experience with desktop operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Technical Support Space
- LED lighting product support experience

Compensation
- $20 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience or merit
